Special offer from The Raw Macaw
The lovely organisers of The Raw Macaw raw food co-op are offering A Foodly Affair clients a 40% discount on co-op membership.
A Foodly Affair clients will pay $30 on joining The Raw Macaw, instead of the usual $50 membership fee. The Raw Macaw focuses on supplying affordable raw foods, superfoods and herbs to its members.
Haven't heard of a co-op before? A co-op works is by connecting interested people together for their mutual benefit.
In the case of The Raw Macaw, a co-op has been formed to purchase goods in bulk (reduced) prices. A nominal membership fee and a small percentage is added to the price of goods to cover administrative costs, meaning that co-op members are able to access a wide variety of items at rates that are well under retail prices.
Kim Newton, Founder of The Raw Macaw, tells AFA that the Fremantle-based co-operative is just the beginning, saying, "Ultimately, we would like to open a store." This progressive approach mirrors the direction that other co-ops are headed around the world, and Kim's vision is for the store to be owned as well as operated by co-op members.
To find out more (including the latest price list), visit The Raw Macaw's
facebook page or call Kim on 0433 827 400. You will also find her smiling face at The Raw Macaw's
South Fremantle markets stall on Sunday mornings. Remember to let her know that you are a client of
A Foodly Affair on joining to take advantage of this special offer.
